The presence of round the clock television news coverage and instantaneous internet analyses often prevents the resident from:

a. consulting with cabinet members and other top advisors before making decisions.

b. engaging in prolong consideration of an issue before issuing a public statement.

c. being heard in an overloaded media environment

d. using speech writers to help prepare public speeches

  1. Well the President does unfortunately end up under tremendous pressure considering he has to deal with being given an assortment of information on this, and he knows that some of his decisions could have consequences no matter what the decision is.

    A good example is let's say the President has to choose between death of 2000 people or death of 2 million people, either way people are going to die, but picking death of 2000 people can ruin ratings still even though we know death of 2 million people is way worse, but most of the public never takes things like this into consideration if the President does pick the option that means less deaths.
