Help plz...water rocket? which bottle is best to use? ?

i'm doing a project where we have to build our own water rocket...i'm wondering which soda bottle is best to use to make the rocket go higher...12 oz, .5 liter, 2 liter...any websites would also be helpful...thanks in advance!
