Help purchasing a horse?

Question

I bought a horse from my old riding school. I love her to pieces and I am ready to get another. I want to check the same place he got ther from but he refuses to give out that info. Any ideas? His name is Rex Beasaw lll of First Impression Farm (he also does therapeutic riding under the business name Rexford Center for Therapeutic Riding) in Lenox MI

hi, my mate got a horse from a riding school like you, she had the same problem. i would not bother asking him and look for something capable of what you want to do.

if you want to do events i would aim for a horse at about 6 years old and look in the newspaper for some adverts. i found a great horse and was so happy when i got him. don't bother wasting you time with him the reason he might not want to tell you is because the place might be horrible. don't risk it!

i would not ask him any more but i would tell you to check your horse recuse and see what they have there are thousand of horses put to sleep every year and lets get the word out we can stop that...........

Please check any local horse rescues around you.  I am the VP of DoubleHP Horse rescue here in SD and there are soo many perfectly great horses that are in desperate need of someone to love them out there.  I know there is a lot of hype associated with a 'registered' horse but believe me, when you adopt a rescued horse they will give you their all.  They give you all their love, trust, loyalty, patience, and they will try so hard to do what you want of them.  I've had many horses since my childhood and I can honestly say that Jewel (who was a rescue) is soo willing to please me that she tries harder than all the others I've had put together.  

Just please know that there are thousands of unwanted, abandoned, abused horses out there that are in desperate need of homes to love them.  They are just as capable as an expensive 'papered' horse and you will be saving a life at the same time.
