Help !!!! =]?

I need to make a parachute for my science class and i don't know wut to make it out of . i've tried plasitic wrap but when i tied an object to it and let it fall the plastic wrap got all crumpled up and i tried fixing it but it didn't work. ( i want it not to big and not to small )

Use a supermarket bag with a SMALL hole cut in the middle of the bottom. Attach a small weight to the handles. When you let it drop, be sure to hold it open!

You need some thicker plastic.  Try using the plastic from a one gallon ziplock bag.

You could also try using some lightweight fabric.
