2) Find a formula for the area of a square with s = 2x + 5

3) The area of a square with side 2x - 1 is 49. Find x.

1.)  (2x+3)x-2=a

2x^2+3x+(-4x)+(-6)=a

2x^2-x-6=a

2.) (2x+5)^2

2x^2+5^2

2x^2+25=a

3.)  (2x-1)^2=49

2x^2-1=49

2x^2=50

2x=(sqrt)50

x=[(sqrt)50]/2
