Help re-decorating my bedroom!?

So, this summer I have decided to re-decorate my bedroom, which is in fact harder than it sounds. I am working with a very small room with two dark brown strips of wainscotting that can't come down. I was thinking of painting my walls some sort of combination of green, purple, or/and yellow (i'm really into pastel-ish colours). I also want a border with-in the wainscotting that should follow the theme that I want in my room (jungle, bamboo, african, zebra-ish). My problem is simple: a small room and too many ideas that don't co-ordinate.

Can you help mee??

If your looking on the wild side- I always thought a dark, barn red. Then add wood animal statues and brown accents. Try out dramatic shapes and places to arrange furnature. The problem with this sceme is it can look VERY grown up.
