Help regarding social issues in sophmore year in a public high school

Question

So i need help with social issues within my school. Basicly i transfered into my school after the first quarter because i did not get in until then. I have a few friends that i hang out with but its primarily my one friend i hang out with everyday at lunch. I see kids hanging out with different kids everyday and being very outgoing and social. Im a social person outside of school and i have many good friends. I dont get why i cant seem to talk to kids at lunch. I can keep conversation during class sometimes. The real question im asking is how can i converese with kids and try and make new friends and a new group of kids to hang out with? What should i say, how should i act? I want to just have a group of kids at my school that im really good friends with that i can hang with before or after school or on the weekends and not feel like they dont want me around or that they think im weird. I dont know what my problem is when im social outside of school and i talk to a lot of people. Please help

you just gotta push yourself to go talk to people...i know your problem im shy also but once you do it you feel alot better....

i kind of feel the same way as you!

just try to go up to people and start talking to then say something like hey whats up? and just continue from there! :)

try to not act shy! i know its really hard because im also really shy! :/

But NEVER be someone you're not!

Be yourself!

And think of others.
