  1. make sure you have about 1/2 pound per person. This might be a little too much, but it's better than not enough.   Chicken is good, chuck roast is inexpensive and good.

  2. Get a leg of lamb that should feed everyone.

  3. in uk chicken beef or pork would be relatvely inexpensive id go for beef buy a large topside joint-you can eat the rest cold over the next couple of day not smaller than lbs5 kg 2 and a bit

  4. Yes:

Use the two legs for two adults

Use two thighes for two Adults

Use the two wings for one adult

Use breast meat for child and share between adults

With the left over meat (there will be some, if you pick it clean, make sure you do, turn it over, pull the carcus apart etc) try a chicken risotto

  5. A chicken usually only serves two nowadays simply because they kill them so early, so you'll need to get a VERY large bird or two good medium sized ones for five and a half of you!

  6. I think you should use lamb or beef as they are quite big

  7. yaa..chicken will do fine..if u make it in a large quantity...or u could use turkey will avaliable in the place u live...

  8. Most people are FAT because they fail to look at proper serving sizes of foods.

3 to 4 ounces of cooked meat of any sort is a serving. That is about the size of thigh meat or half of a breast meat on a chicken. It is the size of a deck of cards in beef or lamb.

One chicken should feed everyone depending on the growing child and its appetite. They can eat more than anyone else when they are hungry.

Beef or lamb roast should be about 3 pounds and up if you have it boned, bone in should be about 5 pounds.

  9. Rather than one large chicken, I would do 2 smallers ones.  That way you have 4 wings, 4 legs, and so on, rather than just 2 big ones.

  10. Only if it's the size of an ostrich.

Beef, pork or turkey.  Go to a proper butcher and ask their advice on the right cut of meat. You will also need stuffing for pork and turkey, veg, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes.

  11. Yes buy a large chicken.  You could also get a smaller joint just in case.  Pad it all out with some chipolata sausages and rolled up steaky bacon.  Get some stuffing on the go, some bread sauce and lots of veg...

My god I wish I was eating with you today!

  12. 1 chicken will not feed 6 people.  I would make at least 2 and maybe 3 depending on how big of eaters your adults are.

Now an enitre turkey will feed 6 peeps.  It's probably your best bet.

  13. Go with the chicken unless anybody is vegetarian.
