Help! rug burn..... what helps the burn?

k i tripped and fell and skidded across the carpet(...I'm a klutz:)...) and i ended up up with a bad rug-burn on my arm. i need advice on how to treat it. plz help me its stings and hurts like... ya

Wash it with soap and warm water. Pat it dry, do not rub it. Then apply neosporin-- aside from being antibacterial, it has an analgesic added for pain relief. Lightly bandage it. Do not put band-aids on it unless you have some large enough that none of the adhesive will be in contact with the rug burn. Otherwise, use nonstick gauze. Take an Advil or Tylenol as well.
