Help running the mile tips?

i need tips to run the mile. i need to beat 7 minutes

but im a teenage girl and its gonna be hard. can you

please give me tips to do this?

  1. Long strides.  Breathe in very strongly for two steps, then force air out very strongly for two steps.  If you're in good shape and two steps seems too often, switch to three or even four.  Breathe in to a full lung and force out to an empty lung.  It will help maximize your breathing capacity and will help you retain your energy, while giving you something to concentrate on.


  2. first there are simple things you can do to go faster. starting with training. do speedwork, fartleks, those will build endurance, and then you can run with more endurance faster longer without tiring as fast. but in the race, make sure you warm up and strech good before the race. then in the race 80% sprint the first lap slow to 70% on the next then on the third down to 60% then on the last lap run as hard as you can on the last 150-200 meters.
