My six year old?

My six year old left eye is swelling up his left sid eof his face just about 30 mins after he ate Crab. He is not allergic to anything and I just gave him some benadryl(sp?) I called his doctor but they have npt got back to me yet and sometimes they can be awhile. When or should I take him to the ER or is this a mild reaction and when should I freak?

  1. my daughter just had a reaction to peanuts and ended up in urgent care on iv for 16 hours.  I gave her a benadryl and an hour later she broke out in hives.  Don't minimize or risk it.  I would take him to quick care immediately!!!! GO now!  Kids can die from food allergies.  Swelling of the eye or face is telling you that he body is disagreeing with the substance in the food.

  2. go to er!
