I have tried and tried and can't not figure out how to do this.. Any help would be appreciated!

p=25+q

6p= -3q+204

What is the solution of the system, type an ordered pair?

  1. it is simple to solve

    multiply first eq with 6

    u will get

    6p=150+6q

    then subtract eq2 from newly drived eq

    6p=150+6q

    +6p=204-3q

    -      -     +

    0=-54+3q

    or q=18

    put value of q in any eq  and get value of p

  2. you have to get the q by itself in the second equasion and compare the two equasions for the value of p versus the value of q

  3. If p is 25+q then you instert that wherever p is.I think you might get it from there.

  4. I dont know WHY you would solve this in elimination method, that is OBVIOUSLY not the easiest way to solve it. just move p=25+q, move q to the other side so you get p-q=25 then multiply q by -3 and then add the two equations

  5. P=30

    q=8

    6p=-3q+204

    6 times 30 = -3 times 8 + 204

    180= -24 + 204

    180 =180

  6. 6*(25+q)=-3q+204

    150+6q=-3q+204

    6q+3q=204-150

    9q=54

    q=6

    p=25+6=31
