I have to write an essay about someone I just met and I have some information about him, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding a way to start it. The essay is supposed to be an introduction about him. I know that he's outgoing and funny and friendly and that will all be in the essay. But I need a sentence to start me going. Once I get an idea on how to start it, the rest will come easily. Can someone help me?

    thats usually what i do

    hope i helped (:

  2. When I get stuck with my opening sentence or paragraph, I just go ahead and write what I want to say in the body, and the conclusion, and then usually an idea for the opening will come and I can tie it all together.

When I first met John, the first thing I noticed about him was his dark hair, laughing eyes, funny way he walked, his crooked smile.

Give a brief description of your first meeting, set the stage so the reader can picture it in their mind:

(I first met John at Starbucks after school, I was ordering my usual white chocolate mocha and John had just spilled his coffee on the floor.) Then tell of what your first conversation was about: (I made a comment about him being clumsy and....)
