Help starting an indep. agency in FL.?

I am doing research to see if it is possible for me to help my wife start her own agency. I need help with legal requirements other than going to city hall and getting a business license. direct help on anything is appreciated, fac files or tutorial's would be of great help also. Thank you in advance..........:-)

I would recommend speaking to the local chapter of the Independent Insurance Agents of America.  They are a great program that help all the independent agents that are members a lot.  They can help with continuing ed and test prep courses for your license.  They can also refer you to company reps and/or business consultants in the area that can help make sure your business starts on the right foot.
