  1. Call animal control. They will be able to help. If for some reason they can't come, you might have to help it yourself if it is low enough in the tree. But, if it is too high you will have to leave it alone. Animal control would be best though because they know what to do. If you do manage to get it take it to animal control yourself. If they aren't open then go to the vet. If the vet isn't open, go to the emergency animal clinic. If you can get animal control, that would be best for the bird. They know how to handle wild animals. If it is too high up for your to reach and animal control can't get out to you right away, just leave it alone. Nature will take its course. Sadly, the bird might die. But it might also get away and be okay. You will just have to sit back and let things happen. But, animal control is the best way to go. If they don't answer or are not there, just keep calling every half an hour. You can also leave a message. Someone will eventually pick up or listen to the messages. I would just let the bird be and keep calling animal control. There isn't a whole bunch you can do.

I feel so sorry for that poor bird. I'm sure it is very scared. It is probably in a lot of pain too. I love birds so much. Pigeons are beautiful creatures. I hope everything turns out okay. Just keep trying to get animal control out there.

I'm guessing the animal is probably a Homing Pigeon. Homing Pigeons are the ones that are usually seen in the US. They are also known as Rock Doves. Some people call them Feral Pigeons. The scientific name for Homing Pigeons is Columba livia. They are originally from Africa and Asia. They like other pigeons but don't like other birds.
