I just picked up skimboarding this year. When I was in Hawaii, I did it alot, and now I can get out into the water a fair amount. My first question is how do I put myself in a position so that I maintain momentum once im skimming on the water to reach an inconming wave. Secondly, once I reach the wave, how do I ride the wave back in?? Thanks in advance!

  1. ok, so in order to get a decent sized wave, you have to be going very fast. Once you grab said wave, the easiest wat to ride it is to have your back facing the ocean and turn your body and board towards the land and try and ride it back.  I am not very good at those tricks so I mainly stick to flatland, but if you really want to learn how to do this better, go to www.zapskimboards.com and click on "get schooled" and then "trick school", then find what you are trying to learn...Hope I helped!!

  2. run really fast and pump through the white wash. Use your ankles to turn against the wave.
