My sister is very active, but she has a habit of watching TV for hours and hours. I want her to snap out of it without bribing or her crying. Help me!

  1. hide the remote control and pretend you dont know anything about it! =)

  2. Not your business I think. Also, seems like you've got an addiction of yourself: internet.

  3. Your parents need to take control.  She should be in the library checking out a book a week at least.

  4. turn the TV off unplug it if you have to and get other stuff to entertain her set up a painting board, mydcakes outside, play games with her

she may cry but it will only last so long and she will get over it

i have a 2 year old who loves TV also but the best idea is to distract her with other things

  5. no offense the problem is not the child but the adult who is allowing non stop watching of tv....

i tell my daughter all the time the same thing....

she fusses because her son refuses to sleep in his baby bed...i tell her the baby is not who needs to be trained but the parents....only they can take control and change that habit....

    good luck....

just try to find activities that will interest her to occupy a portion of her time instead of tv......

tv is a great tool but like anything else the key is balance
