Help to recolor my old photos....?

i have my granddad's photos with me. i wanna scan them out, remove all the fungus and decolorations out of that and recolor it completely. could u suggest me some software that i can use to do all the jobs easily....

  1. There is a software that can help you. It's called Photoshop and my husband uses it to restore photos that have lost their color. You can scan the photos and use Photoshop that way, but I'm not sure about the rest. I think you can put it on a thumb drive and go to a place to print photos or just leave the photos on your computer.

  2. WHY?  The charm and character of older photos is their condition.  I would never try to "redo" pictures of my great grand parents.

  3. it may have been better to scan negatives if any, when you scan photos, try to scan at higher resolution around 600 in color mode, and edit blemishes and recolor later,

    if you have photoshop or paintshop-pro those will do, using clone and healing stamps to repair flaws, then adjust colors and hues per layer, and channels later,

    Gimp ~image editor, like photoshop, if needed,
