  1. feed bloodworms.

  2. Take him with you to the petstore.  They will be able to help you there.

  3. The bat knows. Flies are probably the best bet for a toad that small. They have to be moving, though.

  4. Try feeding it black ants and gnats.

  5. You can feed fish food to the tadpoles to supplement their diet of algae if there is not enough. I feed tadpoles Cheerios, koi kookies (sold at many pond places including That Pet Place, Drs. Foster and Smith, and AquaMart, go here for contact information); yes, it is spelled kookie and not cookie; by 2007 it seems they do not make them anymore), goldfish flake food, pond floating pellet food, and algae tablets made for plecostomus catfish

  6. Toads can live days without eating. My dad kept a toad as a pet for a year. You need to provide something where it can sit in the water. Toads do not drink but absorb water through their skin. You can feed them any small bug or worm. We even fed the toad tiny pieces of hamburger on the end of a toothpick.

Just to note, ants are not a good idea. Ants often have all kinds of chemicals on them that make them unsavory to a toad. They will eat them if they have to, but prefer other bugs.

Dig up some dirt or look under boards/rocks for pill bugs. Do not feed it slugs. They are too slimey.
