Help w/ Panasonic PV-GS80 Mini DV and I'm looking for a good video editing software package, any suggestions?

I don't really know anything about video editing but I like making home videos and stuff and if you know a thing or two about video editing software could you give some advice. Oh, and in the instruction manual it says something about my camera being compatible w/ a FireWire Video/Card editing software packages and somethng about a DV cable, does anyone know what this is about?

  1. Video is transferred via firewire only!! So you need to see if your PC has a firewire port. If it doesn't you need to buy either a PCMCIA card or expresscard with firewire capability. And of course a firewire cable. You will also need software, I would reccomend Nero. And you need a DVD burner. Good luck!!
