I have very acne-prone skin. The other day I got this pimple on my forehead, unfortunately, and soon after it turned into a scab. How do I get rid of this?

I wash my face once in the morning and at night, and following that I use toner and face lotion.

  1. If you have combination skin which means spots that are oily and spots where it is dry, you want to make sure you use any lotion only on the dry areas, not the oily. Do not rub when you wash as it releases oil from deep inside to the surface. Instead, wash gently with warm water and mild, unsented soap that has no lotion in it. Then rinse with cold water which seals the pores. Blemishes are not due to dirtyness by the way as some people think. Cut down on fatty foods and try to eat more fruits and veggies. Some fat is ok of course but sodas and fried foods are the worst for your skin. Drink more water, that actually helps to clense the skin from the inside out. Stress is a major acne factor, so lighten up and try to relax and laugh a few times a day. Nothing is so bad that it has to take your health. I would stay off of the toners and lotions and opt for a gentle cleaning bar without fragrance. If you do have some dry spots you can use a lotion there by dabbing it with a cotton ball. If you get a blemish, wash as usual and then dab using a que tip with hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol several times a day. Do not squeeze as it will only make it spread and can cause scars. If none of this works go to a dermatologist and see what they can do. Most important to keep them away is to be happy and eat right, also drink plenty of water and NOT sodas. Lay off really fatty fried foods more often than not. Good luck!

  2. If you're a girl: GET PRESCRIPTION MEDS - Birth control pills (or pills that are prescribed as acne meds such as Diane) clear out most acne prone skins or worst comes to worst, get proactive

If you're a guy:  It's called testosterone - proactive is the best bet: it might clear out most of your acne, but there's a chance that you'll still get some minor breakouts

    Good luck!! xoxox

  3. Differin Or Zeno.

  5. neutrogina 3 step cleanser. It works fast than pro activee! Its amazing and its only about 20 buck, you will love it. Its at longs or wallgreens any local drug store will have it :]

  6. At night before you go to bed wash your face with just warm/hot water don't use soap on your face it makes it oily and more prone to acne......I wash it then using a cotton ball clean my face with lemon juice (real lemon juice) and clean until cotton ball is clean and by morning guaranteed your face will be clean and pimple free....have been using that for 20+ years and am pimple free.....I use to break out alot before I started doing this and it also has kept me young looking as well.

  7. Possibly the acne medication you are using isn't working.  I wouldn't give up but instead try a different acne solution!

  8. To get rid of the scab... try putting neosporin or vaseline on it overnight with a bandage covering it and then in the morning it should either be gone or you can try peeling it off gently. Don't force it though.

If you want help getting rid of your acne, ask your dermatologist about Retin A or Differein or Benzaclin or if it's pretty bad you can try Bactrum or birth control or some form of medicine.

    Good luck!

  9. Go to the store and buy Vitamin A and Vitamin E supplements.

Poke a hole in the capsules and squeeze the liquid out and apply it to the area.

I use it all the time. It really works.

  10. Use a mild cleanser like dove soap.  Use a baking soda scrub by mixing a little baking soda with water and wash in circular motions for about 30 seconds, then use a moisturizer with 2.5% benzoil peroxide.  I have done this for 5 years and just earlier I posted a question asking how old people thougt I was, I am 29 and I was getting answers in the early 20's and quite a few compliments on my skin!   Good luck

  11. It's all in the product, maybe the stuff you use doesn't react with your skin, people's skin are all different so different products work better, I suggest you try a different product.

  12. Get anything with Benzoyl Peroxide, or something Salcycic Acid. These things help tremendously.
