Help: what is something that is cheap, transparent/see-through that i can use for an outdoor lizard enclosure

i already have a small area made from perspex but it cost a fortune and i am looking for something cheaper and better.

any suggestions?

  1. you can go to walmart and they sell cheap plastic animal cages


  2. the best thing is screen you can build a simple wood frame and cover it with screen.

    Also depending on the size of the lizard ive seen people put them in those plastic fluorescent light tubes that have the end caps on them with a few air holes drilled in it.

    the big thing is you dont want it to get out and make sure it gets lots of air

  3. Laminated safety glass, not really cheap. Plexi-glass, cost more than lami. Try aluminum screening, yhats probably the cheapest, in fact you can get fiber-screening. GOOD LUCK!

  4. Go to Home depot and buy some heavy gage plastic but this is not permanent, does not hold up for very long in the wind but it is cheap, comes in rolls 12' x 300',  10' x 100', etc..  Second you can check your local plastic supply store like Regal plastics and such for Plexiglas(not so cheap) and see if there are any deals or scrap sheets they might sell.
