Help what is this problem??

earlier this year at easter i had a lot of chocolate....

1 of the things was a chocolate bar - solid at the bottom - i accidently bit into it too hard with my little frount tooth

since then it feels ...........bubbly, exposed, slightly throbbing - very slightly - doesnt hurt - just feels weird

i went to the dentist - he told me to have some hot salty water -4 a few evenings - i did

about 2 months later - it was still there! - so i went to the dentist again - he said he couldnt see anything...

help - it went away for a few months - now it is back again!!

what is it??

  1. It sounds like you have a hairline crack - just something tiny which is making you uncomfortable.

If it hurts keep on with the salt water - but maybe your dentist could paint on some of that fluoride paint they use/used to use on young children's teeth to seal the area.  I had this done to one of my teeth and it was fine after that.

  2. According to the picture attached it seems fine, but what exactly are you feeling, is it pain, esthetics's trouble. Please be more specific, i guess if a part of tooth structure is tipped off, it is easily restored by a composite restoration, but it seems just fine to me...
