Help...whats the best kind of emergency health insurance?

I need to go to the emergency room, I think I have a kidney infection and I dont want to die from blood poisoning or kidney failure... but I'm a student waiting tables just barely making ends meet... so yeh... anyone know of cheap, good emergency health insurance?

Where do you live? Many major cities have state funded hospitals for indigent and low income people who do not have health insurance.

Legally a hospital HAS to treat you regardless of your ability to pay. No health insurance company will agree to pay for a pre-existing condition, so trying to get health insurance to cover you for this is sort of out of the question.

If you really have a kidney infection (and not a bladder infection) accompanied by fever and severe pain in back... you need to seek treatment ASAP. If it is a bladder infection, you can wait and go to a doctor tomorrow morning and get some antibiotics. A doctor visit plus antibiotics would probably run you about $200 or so.
