  1. It may not be the battery, but it could be the battery/camera connection.  I have had the same thing happen to me.  I solved the problem by following the instructions in the source link below.  Have had no problems since then and the batteries last much longer.

The secret to making digital cameras work better is having good electrical contacts between the batteries and the camera.

Electrical contacts in the camera and on the batteries must be cleaned properly. Digital cameras are high drain devices.  Batteries may have a full charge, but will be viewed by the camera as low if electrical contacts are not really good.

GREAT HINTS   Most cameras will reset or restore if batteries are removed for at least one minute.  Insert batteries again and restart the camera.  Remove extra memory to eliminate this as a possible camera problem.

  2. First, you can check the settings on your camera. Maybe the command is beep when you taken picture as attention that you use click. Secondly, maybe the setting is : manual, or the light is not enough to be detected by your camera. Your problems often same with other peoplke that using pocket camera ( automatic ). I hope you can find it.

  3. maybe you broke the lens? sometimes there's a little warning that pops up, sometimes there isn't...really depends upon the camera. if it's still under warranty i'm sure it will be replaced at no cost...
