The Garmin. And look around for special deals. I got my Garmin 300 for less than the price of a 200 widescreen.

I have a RAC  r66 it is great, and cheap from currys £79.99.

I have borrowed satnav's in the past off family & friends they have tom tom, garmin and navman, and found the one I got Rac is best by far, easy intructions and very clear.

I am a woman and I found it easy!!

garmin is the better unit as it does not need to calibrated for up to 12 months after purchase

SEVIC model SV 072601.

Brilliant display. Database right down to house numbers.  Good coverage of UK, Ireland and Western Europe.  Updates available online.

Not the cheapest but best I've had.

Btw, I don't work for them and get no commission !

Stick to garmin.  I've own 3 GPS.  With GPS the base map is MORE important than the GPS (electronics) and Garmin has well know map database.  Also it is important that you can get updates (important).
