Help! why is it red....kinda wierd question...?

yesterday i had to go to the hospital (dont ask why) but im ok right now

but i got home ate half of a small beet

then i went downstairs to watch tv

came back upstairs and went to the bathroom and my pee was red. like as if i was o myy period. but im not. i got my period on aug 8

it happens to 8/10 people who eat them.

they have natural chemicals in them which are acidic kinda which can turn you wee red. some even get it with there other waste.

your pee was red becuase you ate the beet. and i guess because the beet is composed of mostly water, your body digested what it needed from the beet and flushed out what it didn't need, which happened to be in your pee.

ok since you didnt specify why you where at the hospital there is little input as to how we can evaluate the problem sounds like a urinary tract infection you need to go to the ER again asap before the infection spreads to your kidneys an thats not good an if that is why you where at the hospital before an they are giving you treatments for it it probubly wouldnt hurt to give them a call they useually give you paperwork after you leave the ER with a number to contact them ... an sometimes beets can give off the color in your waste but its shouldnt have happened in the same day
