  1. check with the fin aid dept at your school, sounds like they want their own copies and the verification worksheets and tax returns. IDK if fafsa forwards it or if you need to do it, but check with the school and let them know that fafsa has it.  the school may have different requirements than fafsa

  2. Completing the fafsa application is not the same as actually Xerox copying your federal tax returns and mailing them with all the attachments to your school.

This is what the school wants.  For you to copy your signed tax returns and mail it to them (your college) along with a "Verification Worksheet" they have probably mailed to you.  If you don't have a verification worksheet or have lost it, you might call them and see if they can email you one or download it off their website.

Remember FAFSA and your school are two totally different entities!!!

  3. It takes a few weeks for the school to get any info from fafsa.  Once they get a copy of your application, you will need to turn in documents to the school.  You need to get a copy of the verification worksheet from the Financial Aid department of the college, fill that out and then get your tax returns and your parents tax returns (have you parents sign theirs and you sign yours) and turn it into the Financial Aid department, and they will continue to process your application.
