  1. 1st of all PSP is using a spicific video format to be able to watch videos in your psp (MPEG4 for PSP)

convert the video you like to MPEG4 ... try TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER

    www.download.com/Total-Video-Converter...

after converting the video you like to MPEG4 for PSP, connect your psp or memory stick to your pc then copy the converted file to the root folder of your memory stick "/VIDEO". disconnect it from your pc then try to open it in your psp at video icon.

now you can watch the video you like

  2. There are two ways to put videos on your PSP depends on your psp firmware version.

First, you need to convert the files to PSP mp4 format with a specialized PSP converter (the converted file is named as “M4V00001.MP4”).

You can free download this PSP converter to have a try.

    http://www.daniusoft.com/video-to-psp.ht...

It's editing function is very easy to use: video crop, movie trimming, and video effect adjustment.

Then, How to put the converted PSP files into your memory stick

    1. Mostly:

If the version of your psp is higher than 3.0, you just need to copy the converted files to the “Video” folder of you memory stick (if the “Video” folder doesn’t exist, manually create one).

    2.

If it's lower than 3.0, you need to manually create a folder in the memory stick and rename it as “MP_ROOT”, then built two sub-folders in it which renamed as “100ANV01” and “101 MNV01” respectively and put the converted MP4 files in to the “101MNV01” folder.

  3. You need Sony's media manager to place movies on the PSP (yeah, I know.) However, there's 2 ways for you to get it. One is from your store. The other is from the Playstation store in Japan, where it's free, unlike in North America where you need to pay for it. The installer is in Japanese, but the program itself is in English.

  4. You should make your videos MP4 format for PSP. You can find the best PSP video converter here:

Also, you can search some other ones:

  5. to do this, u MUST have a way to connect ur memory stick to ur computer either buy a special cable for the psp or u can buy a memory card reader which is better because it's not strictly only for the psp (just make sure and ask if u don't know, that it can read **memory stick pro duo**)

if u know how (because i forgot), format ur memory stick when u put it in ur psp. that way, it will automaticallly make all the nesessary folders u need. refer to ur manual for what folders u should make and what to name them

after ataching ur memory stick to the computer, go to my computer>removable Disk>VIDEOS (if file not there, create it and name it VIDEOS)>

now ur video has to be in MPEG4 format in order to play. usually, u can tell if the vidoe is in this format just by looking at the icon but just to make sure, right click the file and click properties. then look under file type. if it's mpeg4, then ur fine. no it's hard to find videos in this format so thankfully, there's many free converters out there that can convert video files to MPEG4. just search free psp video converter.

not i'm used to working with converted files so i'll explain that.

usually, after a video is converted, it has 2 files: 1 MPEG4 and on one other different one. to play this video, u must put both files in the Video folder.

as for videos already in MPEG4 with out the other file, idk so don't ask me.

here's the step in basic language:

    1. select video and make sure both files are present and it's in the right format

2 connect memory stick to computer whether through memory card reader or psp usb cable.

    3. My computer->Removable disc->VIDEOS-> (u may or may not have this but doesn't matter) MPRoot1....etc.

    4. Drag both video files in to that folder

    5. take the momorystick out of the computer or unplug the psp and watch the video
