My 10.5 year old daughter is bi-polar adhd ODD. She has had 6 hospital stays from the age of 6 on. I am dead tired of the constant battle with her. Yesterday i sent her to her room we were doing homework she started beating both her hands into the table. After i sent her to her room she got a pencil and tried to stab me. To stop her from stabbing me i did grab her hair out of reaction. Monday she kicked a huge hole in my kitchen wall. I did call the police they said if she was 12 they could have charged her for the damage to my wall. They suggested to take her back to the hospital. I'm so lost she tears up everything in my home. She is totally out of control. SHE IS ON MEDS she has been with the same mental health workers 3 years now. What can be done about her attempt to stab me and kicking a hole in the wall??. She has been on several meds over the years none of which has worked well. Some of the meds worked better then other but, even on meds trying to adjust meds she still has been very unstable. We were swimming over the weekend at my moms my mom told her to wait on something she screamed I'll just go drown myself. She always threatens to hurt us or herself. She will scream for hours i want to go to a foster home. She has NOT ever been in foster care. I don't know why she dose this. She tries to be as hateful and nasty as humanly possible. I've had my own counsoling over the years to deal with her the advice is not helping she keeps getting more and more out of hand every year.

  1. You called the cops on her?

    How old are you?

Maybe she needs to be in an institution if she's being so violent.

  2. I suggest getting in to a support group yourself. Maybe try to find other kids, and parents in your situation. She may feel as though she is not being understand because she can't not physically express herself. I to suffer with an array of mental health issues. I have ADHD and am Manic depressive. At a young age I was the same way. Does she have other outlets, to take out some energy. I played sports and was always active, it really helped me.

  3. she has mental health problems she doesn't need the hospital because meds isn't going to help she needs to be analysed by people who deal with people like her on a daily bases
