They're fairly simple, but it's just review so...

1. What does it mean for an equation to be written in standard form? and by equation I mean for a line.

2. How do you solve equations with absolute values?

EXAMPLE

-3|4x-9|=-21

3. How do you find the value of a missing variable? What exactly is a missing variable?

EXAMPLE

(-k^z e^3)^2 (-k^2e e^4)^3=k^10 e^18

Please explain your work. Thanks!

  1. y=mx+b

    distibute -3 to 4x-9 =-12x+27

then since its absolute everything that is in the lines becomes positive so=12x+27

    then you isolate x      12x=6    6/12=.5   x=.5

its rough, and off the top of my head (no calc) but it think its correct!

thats b.s.  i have no idea what that means...
