Help with 2wire modem.!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

my friend has a 2wire modem

and he lets me connect to it and everything

and when i try to connect to it

it says now connected and its running at 48.0 mbps

it should be working but its not

all cables are plugged in right

so whats the prob???????????

48.0 either the modem is cheap or your internet card (inside ur computer) is old. No one connects as 48.0 when directly connected to the modem. Now a days its 100.0.

One word of advice

if you rebooted your computer make sure your ETHERNET card is installed. if not thats probably why you're having troubles connecting to the internet.

Or just simply Repair the connection.

follow these steps:

Start -> network -> view network places -> right click on the active connection -> press repair
