  1. Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that you eat sh*t when you land b/c you cant just stick the 5 and you over-roatate it.  I mean, if you have to butter around a little when you land thats fine especially if your just learning 5s of bigger jumps, in time you will stop doing that, it just takes practice.. If your really corking before the jump, try and not huck yourself as much, this might help

    good luck mang

  2. While I don't spin 5's, you might find this helpful, if not a bit obvious.  Anytime there is over-rotation or under-rotation, we should think about where we are looking.  This is a bit different between frontside and backside.  FS you are looking over your front shoulder, and so when you have rotated 5 you are looking at the jump not the landing.  If under-rotated, you would continue to look for the jump to ensure you come all the way around.  In your case, when you can spot the jump, you need to start to look for the landing to help stop rotation.

For backside, you are looking over your back shoulder, so when you have completed your 5, you are looking at the landing.  If you are over-rotating, it could be because you haven't locked your vision on the landing.  It is amazing how much "where you look" can impact what your body does.

I imagine that you figured this out with your 3's, but I thought I would point it out anyway.  Of course, with the 3's the issues with FS and BS are reversed.  Keep at it - you'll get it!
