Help with ANNOTATIONS??? (10 pts. for best answer, please open)?

I have an extremely boring packet to annotate for my AP class, but it's worth a lot so I want to do a great job on it. I've done annotations before, but they've been about INTERESTING topics and the annotations have been minimal, so I'm not sure how to go about doing this one. I can hardly concentrate because the text is so boring. These annotations are especially important because they'll be very helpful for class discussions, which are worth a lot. Plus, I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the class by not contributing something intelligent.

What types of things should I highlight or pay attention to in the text? What kinds of things should I write down? By the way, most of the packet is history stuff... boring :(

try to scan through the text, not read it, and write down a summary of each page (dot points). if a page is mainly filler, just skip it because it'll just make you sleepy.
