A reaction of 1 liter of chlorine gas (Cl2) with 3 liters of fluorine gas (F2) yields 2 liters of a gaseous product. All gas volumes are at the same temperature and pressure. What is the formula of the gaseous product? (Type your answer using the format CO2 for CO2.)

  2. The is equivalent to:

    Cl2(g) + 3F2(g) → 2ClF3(g)

    I checked with the webelements site. I MAY be wrong about this one. The way the equation is written everything is 1 molar. This is a side reaction that occurs at 225 deg C or so, out of several different pathways. I could use a little more info, like what temp?
