Help with AP Statistics Question?

Please help me with these two questions about this experiment:

The head of the quality control department at a publishing company is interested in factors that affect the strength of the binding of books that it publishes. In particular, she would like to carry out an experiment to determine which of three different glues results in the greatest binding strength.

Questions:

1. What is the response variable in the experiment? ---I think this is the binding strength. Is this correct?

2. What factors will determine the experimental conditions?--Is this refering to the brand of glue?

Yes, I know you are correct on #1.  I agree with 2 because the strength depends on glue factors.
