Help with Adding RAM?

My new tower has 256 mb of ram, 40 g hard drive, my old tower has the same RAM, was just wondering if I can use the old stick in my new tower so I can have more RAM, and if so, do I need to install drivers or such?

One computer may use a different type of RAM than another.  Compare their types by using the link in my sources. If they match then, Woo hoo! You can use it!

check the ram in your old tower unit if it is the same type as you have in your new unit the answer is yes you can

lf you have the motherboard manual check it it tells you what ram you can use in your  computer

If they are the same speed and type just install the old in the new slot.
