Help with Boys names??

Question

Would appreciate some help with boys names..to give you an idea of what we like..William (Billy or Will ), Sebastian, Seth, poss stanley. Surname is Smith

you definitely need a longer first name then the last since its so short and simple. i would stay away from the s sound so much.. example: seth smith.. sebastian smith.. etc.. and william wont work considering "will smith" and the name stanley sounds ugly..... sorry. i do like Christopher Smith though its not bad. Maybe Brandon Smith. My son's name is Brandon Michael.. i like it. goodluck to you though!

because you have a short surname you need a long first name such as Alexander. Although I love the name Seth I don't think it quite goes with smith as its too simliar sounding

I wouldn't call him Will beause of Will Smith the actor!

Also I wouldn't call my child a name beginning with S if the surname is Smith...

George, Jason, Frederick, Dominic are just random naes that popped into my head!

William is the best from those choices. How about: David, Maxwell, Peter, Rbert, Trey, Harley, Harrison, Bryan, Nathan, Michael, Samuel, Ross, Joseph, George.

Don't go with William cuz all the kids at school will call him Will Smith. He kind of needs a flashy first name and middle because the last is so common. I would go with Sebastian. Maybe name your son after an older generation in the family. (My dads full name is almost the same as mine, with a few exceptions)

William Smith is great - possibly a common name over the last how ever many years - but a great name all the same

Sebastian Smith is really good - I like this one :)

Seth Smith just doesn't flow as well as the others, though I do like the name Seth

I think with the surname Smith you need something a little unusual for a first name. Nothing too strange, I can see you prefer more traditional. Just go for something that is not in the top 100 names. I prefer Stanley out the the ones you suggested that is not a common name and it will suit him when he is older.

All your choices are nice, but don't go with Seth as you have a 'th' in the surname.  William is lovely, as Billy and Will are good shortened versions.

You should look up Most Popular Male Baby names for the last fifty years and use one of those. There are good reasons for their popularity and good reasons against giving your poor child an unusual, weird name.
