Help with COD4 on my computer?

Question

First off here are my system specs

Pentium 4 3.07Ghz

768MB RAM

Geforce Ti 4600

I was wondering if there is any way that i can customize the resolution to run call of duty 4, because normally when i go to start up COD4 it says an error like your video card or drivers do not support alpha blend and something is supposed to be disabled. But nothing ever happens. It just quits on me. Please suggest any options.

try downloading the most recent drivers for your video card at http://www.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html

Umm. Your computer is way to slow to run that game. Need at least C2D and very minimum a Geforce 6600. Plus 1GB of ram would also help alot.

so sinceu already have the 768 memory which mean u ahve vista and i would bet that video card u have does support that game nor is it a vista compatable video card  nvida web site does not have any updated drivers for that card . what you will ahve to do is get a video card that supports the new shadder n pixel series and a card that supports direct x 10 since that card only supports direct x 9

Not gonna run COD 4 with that card. Not even close. Drivers wont help. You need better hardware. You dont download hardware. You buy it. Buy a decent video card. Need a GeForce 6600 minimum just to run it and even then, it wont be pretty They recommend the 7800 but an 8800 would be better suited for that game, one of the most demanding games out.
