I can't figure out how to do this problem without graphing. Supposedly, I'm supposed to figure in domains and ranges to solve for x, but I don't know what that means. Does anyone how to do it?

ln(x-1)-ln2=x+lnx

  1. ln a + ln b = ln ab

    ln a - ln b = ln (a/b)

    So, your problem simplifies to

    ln ((x - 1)/2) = x + ln x

    Does that help?
