Question:

Help with Ebay?

I had someone buy a TV on ebay that I would deliver close to them (at a public place, not to their home). They cannot get a car to meet me there and I am not willing to deliver it to a private home.

We agreed that it just isn't going to work out. He was the only bidder, so it's not like I lost all of that much. How do I say on ebay that the sale is cancelled? He hasn't and isn't going to pay. I don't necessarily want to get him in trouble with ebay.

  1. When you look up the item in your sold account, there is a listing called "report as unpaid"  under this option, you can send a reminder, there are two choices, either "unpaid" or "both have decided against the sale".....I dont think you can get your listing fees back this way though.

  2. Go to the 'Sold' menu. On the item drop down box, select "Unmark Payment Recd". Once you have done this, re-click on the drop down box, and an item called "Report Unpaid Item' will appear. Select that and go through the options, one of which is that both you and the buyer no longer want to complete the transaction. Once this is complete, it will release you of any liability to the buyer. Check out this link for more information: http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/unpaid-ite...
