Help with FABLE the lost chapters (PC)?

Question

How do I sneak past the bandits to get into the camp? I've tried ranged spells and the bow but I just injure them and they close the gate. If I shoot them in the head will they die instantly?

I remember this! Me and my brother were stuck on it for ages.

I think you have to hide behind that rock on the left side of the gate . the rock should be quite a way back from the gate.when they come out of the gate hide behind it. Get a good view of all 3 of them and take them out with headshots with your bow. Make sure that you don't alert anyone when you take them out. make sure the other ones aren't watching. then, when you've killed all of them you can simply walk through the gate.

There are two main strategies when sneaking into the bandit camp:

1. Sneak - In order to accomplish this, a high Guile score helps (Guile directly affects the effectiveness of sneaking). Be sure to utilize the natural barriers found in this area; anything that will block the patrolling bandit's field of view. Chances are you will get noticed. If this happens, simply kill the three bandits, then hide behind the boulder that is closest to the exit. Stay out of site, then three more bandits will begin their patrol. Afterward, just pay attention to the map to time your next exit attempt.

2. Fight - This is the simplest (though most difficult) plan of action. First, you must have an attack that can kill a bandit in one strike. If using a bow, 'zoom in' on a nearby bandit and try for a head shot (a high Accuracy score will aid in this). A high-powered Fireball or similar spell will also work. Second, make sure another bandit does not witness your attack (i.e., no witnesses).

If necessary, forgo the quest for the moment and level up your Accuracy, Guile and/or offensive spells more. Plus, get darker clothing (like a Dark Villager Suit) if you plan on sneaking; get the strongest bow or crossbow you can obtain if you plan on fighting.
