Question:

Help with Forum Reply; Really Stupid Question, I Think?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

When I do a reply in a forum, it wants to send to an e-mail

address and not back into the forum. There is a pulldown

list of 3 e-mail addresses. One is the author e-mail and

the other two are ...@yahoogroups.com. Do I select the

"hp_alumni_techtalk@yahoogrous.com" to have the

reply show up as a reply to the message and not send an

e-mail to the writer?

This seems so basic, and yet I could not find any help on

this....

Regards,

  1. one is to the poster- which will go to who you're replying to

one is the groups posting URL- which will post it to the whole group

one is the owner address- which will only send it to the owner

owners set up the default, however members can edit that default- some groups have rules as to where to send posts to, if they set the default to replies going to the author, I'd think that's how the owner wants you to post. you could ask the owner too
