How do i make even the non-HD channels full screen?? The non HD channels have black bars on both sides of the screen, is there a way to fix that without just zooming (that makes it look worse.)?

  1. no that is just the way the channel is

  2. A non-HD channel has a 4:3 ratio (meaning it's fit for a regular squarish TV and not a new fangled widescreen one), so there is no way to avoid black bars unless you zoom or you stretch. Some TVs have two types of stretches: the first being just a regular stretch so that everyone's face looks fat, and the other being a pseudo stretch where the center of the screen looks regular, but just the outer edges are stretched-- meaning that people on the outside of the image look fat and not the people in the middle.

So to answer your question, there's no way to fix it and fixing it makes it look worse.
