Help with HTML mode on freewebs.com?

I have no idea what I am doing on this. I would have chosen their site builder, but it is way to boring to make a good site out of. If you know about how to use it...could you please email me at ohxtuti@aol.com. Or you can tell me how to put a layout/background on the site by answering this question. I am completely lost. The only thing I know how to do is log in. I would prefer you email me. But either is fine. ^^ Thank you.
