Help with Halo Trial on PC!?!?!?!?

Okay, so I have the Halo Trial on my computer. If you have it, then you know that you can go on multiplayer to play against different people around the world. Well, you can chat during the game.. but somehow the text won't show.. like who killed who and what they are saying??? Please help me with this... I've tried to fix it but nothing has changed. Full description, please!!!! :]

You had better reinstall your trial. Otherwise, you must have killed your text files or something..

Just do a clean reinstall though, that should fix it.
