Help with Italian!!?

Question

im half italian and im learning the language. its so hard >.<!

right now im doing directions like out side, right left, above,below e.c.t.

I have been given a picture of a basic room and i have to say things like

the TV is above the table

and

the sofa is beside the lamp.

how do you say those to things?

and how do you form a sentence?

is it

Subject pluss placing (beside) pluss other object?

please help!!
