Help with Nintendo 64 emulator?

Question

I download it and then press english then i get a graphics error that says

Direct 3d failed to intalize

Error Code: 8876086A

D3DDERR_NOTAVAILABLE

Then i get a message that says error and:

The default or selected video plugin is missing or iinvalid

Check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder.

Then nothing happens then click on project 64 and then the same thing comes up and goes to settings i press ok then try to run a rom and says:

Cannot open a rom because plugins have not succesfully been intialised

Help please I need to play me retro games lol.

I had a similar problem when I got V1.7 Of Project 64 After getting V 1.6, So remove I.7 And Get 1.6 ( Or Just Use 1.6)
