Help with Olympus Camera FE-190?

My Olympus FE-190 camera is messing me about. I use a Fujifilm XD 1GB H card. Whenever I turn on the Camera it comes up with [xD] Card Error. Tried the basics (clean contacts etc.) but can't find out a solution. HELP!!

  1. Have you tried re-formatting the card?

    Or have you tried reading the card in a USB card reader?
