How do I find ordered pairs?

f(x) = 4^x

Ordered pairs are pairs of numbers like those you'd plot on coordinate axes.  In your case, just think of the 'f(x)' as a pseudonym for 'y'.

y = 4^x

Pick an x, calculate a y, and there's your pair.  For instance, if x = 1, y = 4, so (1, 4).  If x = 2, y = 16, so (2, 16).  And so on ad infinitem.
